Real laughter, with their agreement

Account creation and publication are reserved for people aged 16 and over. Recording privately, listening to the world's laughter and voting in the arena are possible without an account, in a guest session.

Publishing is voluntary: after validation, your audio, name, little note, moods, pseudonym, country and destinations become public. You retain your rights and authorize HAHA to host, technically convert and distribute the file to perform the service, including in the arena. Users can listen to it, vote for it and send it. You can withdraw your publication, without being able to recall copies already received by third parties.

The official account “The HAHA Team” publishes demonstration laughs under a free license (CC0, public domain), the author of which is credited in the note. They can participate in the arena. No fake users are added to the public thread.

Prohibited content

Post only your own laughter. The following are prohibited: voice of a third party without right or consent, private data, identity theft, sexual or pornographic content, exploitation or endangerment of minors, violence, threats, hatred, discrimination, harassment, incitement to self-harm or illegal acts, spam, advertising and music or protected content belonging to a third party. These rules also apply to names, notes and pseudonyms, which cannot contain any links or site addresses. Pseudonyms that imitate the team or moderation are refused.

Validation and moderation

Each proposal first passes automatic technical checks (format, duration, silence, prohibited links), then a moderator listens to it before publication, texts included. Content that violates the rules is refused or removed. In case of serious or repeated violation, the account may be suspended. Each refusal is justified and visible in the app; it is a human decision.

The menu of each public laughter allows you to report it and block its author. Reporting masks laughter for you and passes it on to moderation. A laugh reported for a serious reason (minors, violence, private life) by a verified account, or by several verified accounts, is hidden from everyone until a moderator listens to it again; if he was in the arena, the time remaining to him is preserved. Blockages are managed in Me.

The arena

The arena offers duels between two published laughs. Everyone listens to the two laughs until the end and votes for their favorite. The score follows the Elo system: beating a higher ranked laugh earns more. One laugh enters for 7 days for 1 credit, with a maximum of 3 laughs per account at the same time. There is no money, no prize, no valuable reward to be won: only a place on the leaderboard.

The following are prohibited: automated votes, the use of several sessions or accounts to vote for oneself or against another, the purchase or exchange of votes. Automatic limits may not count some leaderboard votes. In case of fraud, we can remove a laugh from the arena, correct the scores and suspend the account.

Credits

A credit allows you to register a laugh in the arena. A credit is offered each week to the accounts, voting makes you win (one credit every 15 votes, one per week at most), and packs are offered for purchase. Credits have no monetary value: they are neither refundable, nor exchangeable, nor transferable, and are lost when the account is deleted. Credits obtained through fraud or through a refunded purchase may be withdrawn.

Propel my laughter

Propelling a published laugh lasts 30 days: it appears first in “Discover in the world”, it is offered more often in arena duels, its complete passport is unlocked (all countries, victories per country, 6 destinations instead of 3) and its souvenir card changes to golden style. The souvenir card and video story remain free for everyone. Propulsion buys neither listening, nor voting, nor victory. If laughter is withdrawn by you or refused by moderation, the propulsion stops.

Founder's Pack and Styles

The Founder's Pack supports HAHA: it gives a Founder badge (profile, rankings, public page of a laugh, never on a duel card), four exclusive styles for the souvenir card and the video story, and ten credits one time. It is on sale until December 31, 2026. The Map Styles Pack gives six additional styles. These purchases are final, purely cosmetic and can be restored from the store or settings; they give no advantage in the arena.

Verified Personalities

A personality publishes their laughter themselves, like everyone else. The Verified badge is granted by moderation after proof published on an official account. No one can publish the laughter of another person, known or not. Impersonating someone else will result in content removal and may result in account suspension.

Purchasing

In-app purchases are one-time purchases, without a subscription. They are concluded with Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), which collects payment according to their conditions, including for refunds and the right of withdrawal applicable to digital content provided immediately. The purchase is attributed to your account after verification with the store. If you have a problem, write to support with the date and product concerned.

Notifications and emails

Notifications are optional and HAHA works without them. “My laughs” tells you what happens to your laughter; “Le laughter du jour” and “News from HAHA” are only sent if you activate them. We limit sendings: one notification per day and four per week at most, excluding moderation results, and nothing between 9:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. local time. Each notification is also stored in the app's inbox.

With an account, you receive the emails necessary for the service (address verification, welcome, account deletion). HAHA news by e-mail, from the app or this site, requires your consent: two per month at most, unsubscribe in one click from each e-mail, in the app or on the page My emails. They only talk about HAHA: no advertising for other brands. Details in the confidentiality.

Point of contact and appeal

Single point of contact, for authorities and users (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, articles 11 and 12): mesbahyannis@outlook.fr, in French or English.

To report illegal content without the application, indicate why it is illegal, the pseudonym and title concerned (or the name of the haha-….m4a file), your name and email (except for child abuse content), and a declaration of good faith. Do not send the illegal content itself by email. We acknowledge receipt and inform you of the decision.

To contest a moderation decision, write to the same address specifying your pseudonym and the title concerned. You can also take legal action. Content that raises suspicion of an offense threatening the life or safety of a person is reported to the authorities (PHAROS platform). In case of immediate danger, call 17 or 112.

Limits

The laughter lasts five seconds at most. To protect the service: ten proposals per account per day (three on the first day), a maximum of two submissions in progress, one hundred publications kept per account, a capped validation queue, as well as daily limits on votes, listening and security network limits. In the event of abuse or abnormal cost, new publications or certain functions may be temporarily suspended. The service depends on the network and the host; the delivery of notifications and emails also depends on Apple, Google and your email. HAHA is free and without third-party advertising; only “Propel my laughter” and the credit packs are paid, and optional.
